Complementing his legal practice, Nick is a Professor of Legal Research and Writing at Waubonsee Community College, where he instructs adult students in the school's paralegal program. This role underscores his commitment to legal education and his ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.

Before embarking on his legal career, Nick distinguished himself as an award-winning journalist. His investigative reporting and feature writing earned him multiple journalism awards from the Illinois Press Association and Associated Press. 

Nick also has expertise in emerging technologies, particularly in cryptocurrency and blockchain. He has given several presentations on the impact of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies on estate planning and administration to various bar associations, including the Chicago Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association. His forward-thinking approach in this area is further evidenced by his publications on Web 3.0 and its implications for copyright law.

A graduate of UIC John Marshall Law School, Nick served as Articles Editor for the Review of Intellectual Property Law and was a member of the Moot Court Honors Council. His academic achievements include two published articles in the Review of Intellectual Property Law, focusing on patent law, and the first scholarly legal article written about decentralized smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.

Nick is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and is admitted to the Illinois Northern District Federal Bar and Michigan's Western District Federal Bar. He is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association's Financial and Emerging Technologies Committee, reflecting his ongoing engagement with cutting-edge legal issues.
